Product Details

Description

EverFlor FlowFix Patch is a single-pack repair mortar based on reinforced cement and polymer powder. It is supplied as a dry powder and mixed with clean, cold water on site. No primer is needed, and no resin components have to be weighed or blended.

The mixed material is a pourable slurry rather than a stiff mortar. Poured into a hole it self-levels, so the finished repair needs only light trowelling to close it off. It can be placed at any depth from 5mm to 100mm in a single application, which covers most of the damage found in industrial and commercial concrete floors — spalled bays, broken edges, worn doorways and potholes.

Holes in a concrete floor are more than a cosmetic problem. They slow pedestrian and wheeled traffic, add to cleaning and housekeeping, and present a trip and handling risk. FlowFix Patch is designed to close them quickly: it sets in one hour at 15°C and cures in two, and it works down to 5°C, so repairs are not held up waiting for warm weather. It can be placed on damp concrete, provided the substrate is not wet.

Recommended areas of use

  • Holes and spalled areas in heavily trafficked concrete floors
  • Warehouse and factory floors, loading areas and doorways
  • Interior and exterior concrete, including external slabs and yards
  • Damp (not wet) concrete where a resin repair would not bond
  • Repairs carried out in cold conditions, down to 5°C

Features

  • Pourable consistency self-levels into the hole, so finishing is minimal
  • Just add water — one powder, one mix ratio, no resin components
  • Sets in 1 hour at 15°C and cures in 2 hours, returning the floor to use the same day
  • Compressive strength above 20N/mm² at one day, rising above 45N/mm² at 28 days
  • Placed at any depth between 5mm and 100mm in a single pour
  • Slip resistant finish, so the repair is not a smooth patch in a worn floor
  • Suitable inside and out, and tolerant of damp concrete
  • No primer required, which removes a step and a drying wait

Good to know

Pot life is short: 5-10 minutes at 15°C. Mix next to the repair rather than at the water source, and mix only what you can pour straight away. Do not add extra water to extend working time — it lengthens drying and weakens the repair. Do not re-stir material that has begun to stiffen.

Cut the edges of the repair to depth rather than feathering out in medium or heavily trafficked areas. Thin edges in those locations will break up. Store between 5°C and 30°C; shelf life is 24 months in a sealed bag.

Application

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dirt, debris and loose material from the hole. The substrate must be clean and free from oil and contaminants. Wire brush the surface where access allows.

Cut the edges of the repair to depth. Feather edges are acceptable only in lightly trafficked areas; in medium and heavily trafficked floors a thin edge will break away. FlowFix Patch can be applied to damp concrete, but not to standing water.

MIXING

Use a ratio of 1 part clean, cold water to 3 parts FlowFix Patch. Put the water into the mixing container first. Add the powder gradually, stirring constantly, until you have a smooth pourable slurry.

Mix by hand with a flat bladed tool for small quantities. Use a mixing paddle in a slow speed electric drill for larger batches. Do not add excessive water — it extends drying and impairs the strength of the repair.

Pot life is 5-10 minutes at 15°C. Mix beside the repair rather than at the water source, and mix only what you can pour immediately. Keep a bucket of water to hand for cleaning tools straight after use.

APPLICATION

Pour the mixed material directly into the hole. Correctly mixed, it self-levels and needs only minimal trowelling with a steel float or trowel to close the surface. Do not re-stir material that has begun to harden; this weakens the finished repair.

Place at any depth between 5mm and 100mm. No primer is required.

CONDITIONS AND STORAGE

Apply between 5°C and 30°C. The repair sets in 1 hour and cures in 2 hours at 15°C; cooler conditions lengthen both. Store unopened bags between 5°C and 30°C. Shelf life is 24 months.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Do I need to prime the concrete first?
No. FlowFix Patch requires no primer. Sweep out the hole, remove any loose material and oil or other contaminants, and wire brush the surface if you can get to it. Cut the edges of the repair to depth rather than feathering out in trafficked areas, then mix and pour.
Can I use it on a damp floor?
Yes, it can be applied to damp concrete. It must not be poured into standing water or a wet hole. Remove any free water before you mix, and let surface water drain or evaporate so the substrate is damp rather than wet.
How quickly can the floor be used again?
At 15°C the repair sets in 1 hour and cures in 2 hours. Compressive strength is above 20N/mm² at one day, above 35N/mm² at seven days and above 45N/mm² at twenty-eight days. Colder conditions extend the setting and curing times.
How much do I need for a given hole?
A 25kg unit covers approximately 0.5m² at 25mm thick. Scale that by the depth of your repair: the same unit covers roughly half the area at 50mm. FlowFix Patch can be placed at any depth between 5mm and 100mm in a single pour.
The pot life is very short — how do I work with that?
Mix beside the repair, not at the water source, and mix only what you can pour within a few minutes. Pot life is 5-10 minutes at 15°C. Do not add extra water to buy working time, as this extends drying and weakens the repair, and do not re-stir material that has begun to stiffen. Keep a bucket of water alongside to clean tools immediately after the pour.
